My Response to the Government's Planning Reforms

As the Member of Parliament for Esher and Walton, I wrote a response to the Government’s consultation on its proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and other changes to the planning system. We need to build more affordable homes, but this process should be locally driven, it should listen to local voices, and it must protect our valuable green spaces. It is essential that Local Authorities like Elmbridge are given the time and ability to direct planned control growth on sites that are included in a community-centred local plan.
