Liberal Democrat Candidate for Esher and Walton, Monica Harding responded to the General Election:

"It is time for change. This General Election is long overdue and your ticket for change is voting Liberal Democrat in this General Election.

"From sewage in our rivers, to a soaring cost of living crisis, and a collapsing NHS, the people of Esher and Walton are fed up with this Conservative Government and will now have an opportunity to vote for a true local champion that will stand up for them in Parliament.

"Only the Liberal Democrats can beat the Conservatives in Esher and Walton. Labour can't win here. In 2019 I came within 2,700 votes of beating Dominic Raab destroying his majority. Just weeks ago, in May's local elections, we took 43% of the vote against the Conservatives 29%. We are the largest party on Elmbridge Borough Council with 23 Councillors, as the Conservative vote collapsed.

"After years of struggling to get a GP appointment, soaring rents and mortgages, to our local rivers being filled with sewage, it's time for a change in Esher and Walton. As your Member of Parliament, I will stand up for the community and put their needs first - access to local health services, easing the cost of living crisis, making our public services work, tackling the sewage scandal and being a strong local voice for our community.

I've lived in Esher and Walton with my four children for almost 20 years. I care deeply about our community, our country and the future we will give our kids. It's time for change. It's time for a fresh start."
