My Response to the Budget

My response to the Budget:

I welcome the £1billion of funding for special education needs – I’ve been calling for this since being elected. But it’s not enough and we need to understand how it will be allocated.

I also welcome the investment in the NHS, Lib Dems have been pushing for this. But it ignores adult social care- we urgently need a cross party commission to find a solution. I’m worried about the impact of national insurance rises on businesses and the poor growth forecast. We need to use all levers for growth including better trade with Europe.

I’ll keep holding the governments feet to the fire on their promises for NHS, SEND and growth on behalf of my constituents in Esher and Walton.
